Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that Marian Gaborik will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder. The procedure will be performed by Dr. Andrew Feldman and Dr. Anthony Maddalo on Wednesday, June 6, at the NYU Langone Medical Center's Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan.
Gaborik was one of seven Rangers to appear in all 82 games this season. He ranked third in the NHL with a team-high, 41 goals, and also led the team in scoring with 76 points.
