Columbus Recalls Methot From AHL

Press Release - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Marc Methot from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. The club also assigned forward Geoff Platt to Syracuse.

Methot, 21, has recorded one goal and 14 assists for 15 points with 50 penalty minutes and has a +12 plus/minus rating in 56 games with the Crunch this season. Columbus' seventh pick, 168th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, he has collected 3-25-28 with 125 penalty minutes and is +16 in 126 career AHL games. He is expected to make his NHL debut tonight against the Nashville Predators. [READ]
