Doan, Coyotes Headed Towards Extension

Kevin Allen/USA Today (via Twitter) - The Coyotes and Shane Doan are discussing a contract extension because he'll become a free agent next summer.

"Obviously my track record is we will figure something out," he said.

Doan carries a $4.55 million cap hit this season, but the Coyotes should be able to lock him up for much less in his next deal. [READ]
