Rangers Place Shanahan On IR

Press Release - New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Brad Isbister has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL), while forward Brendan Shanahan has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Isbister, 29, has appeared in 42 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack and Albany River Rats (AHL) this season, registering 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points, along with a plus-eight rating and 76 penalty minutes. The 6-4, 231-pound forward has collected 11 goals and eight assists in 33 games with Hartford, after being acquired by the Rangers from Carolina on November 21, in exchange for the rights to Jakub Petruzalek and a conditional fifth round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In addition, Isbister has notched six goals in the last nine games and currently leads the Wolf Pack with a plus-eight rating. [READ]
