The twenty-third in a series of 30 articles, we will go through the history of every NHL franchise alphabetically and select an All-Time Roster for each. All stats as of November 7, 2011.

Phoenix Coyotes (1996-Present)/Winnipeg Jets (1979-96)

Apologies go out to Hall of Famer Bobby Hull and others, but this list does not include the Jets of the WHA, but NHL-only (Hull accumulated 648 points in 429 games in the WHA with Winnipeg). Interesting note: this list contains a few that played for both Winnipeg and Phoenix: Shane Doan, Teppo Numminen, Keith Tkachuk, Nikolai Khabibulin and Bob Essensa.

First Team

C: Dale Hawerchuk (81-90): Franchise leader in goals (379), points (929) and power play goals (122), -87 in 713 games; six seasons with 100 points, seven with at least 40 goals; 4-time All-Star; 1982 Calder Trophy winner; Hall of Famer; Team Captain 84-90.

W: Shane Doan (95-Present): Franchise leader in games played (1,132) and game winning goals (54), 3rd in points (748), -21, 1,031 PIM; seven 25+goal seasons; 2-time All-Star; Team Captain 2003-Present.

W: Teemu Selanne (92-96): 306 points, -11 in 231 games, including franchise and NHL rookie records of 76 goals and 132 points in 92-93; 3-time All-Star; 1993 Calder Trophy winner.

D: Teppo Numminen (88-2003): Most games played (1,098) and points (534) by a defenseman, +42; 3-time All-Star; Team Captain 2001-03.

D: Phil Housley (90-93): 259 points, -32 in only 232 games, including franchise records for a defenseman in assists (79) and points (97) in 92-93; two 23-goal seasons; 3-time All-Star.

G: Ilya Bryzgalov (2007-11): Most wins (130-93-27), tied for most shutouts (21), 2.54 GAA, .917 SV%; 2010 Vezina Trophy finalist (42 wins, 8 shutouts).

Second Team

C: Thomas Steen (81-95): 1st in assists (553), 2nd in points (817), -70 in 950 games; five seasons with a point-per-game average; Team Captain 89-91.

W: Keith Tkachuk (91-2001): 2nd in goals (323), 4th in points (623), 1st in power play goals (114), +25, 1,508 PIM; two 40-goal seasons, two 50-goal seasons; 3-time All-Star; Team Captain 93-95, 96-2001.

W: Paul MacLean (81-88): 5th in points with 518 in 527 games, -43, 726 PIM; three 40-goal seasons; 1985 All-Star (101 points).

D: Randy Carlyle (84-93): 306 points, -18, 736 PIM in 564 games; 2-time All-Star; three 40-point seasons, two 50-point seasons; Team Captain 89-91.

D: Fredrik Olausson (86-93): 2nd in points (335), 1st in power play goals (40) in 496 games, -55; two 50-point seasons, two 60-point seasons.

G: Nikolai Khabibulin (94-99): 2nd in games (284), 3rd in wins (126-113-37), tied for 1st in shutouts (21), 2.75 GAA, .908 SV%; 2-time All-Star.

Third Team

C: Jeremy Roenick (96-2001, 06-07): 379 points, -3 in 454 games; two 30-goal seasons, three straight 70-point seasons; 2-time All-Star.

W: Doug Smail (80-90): 397 points, +12 in 691 games, most short handed goals (25); three 25-goal seasons; 1990 All-Star.

W: Morris Lukowich (79-85): 345 points, -90 in 431 games; four 30-goal seasons; 2-time All-Star; Team Captain 80-81.

D: Dave Babych (80-85): 3rd in points (321 in 390 games), -130; three 60-point seasons; 2-time All-Star.

D: Keith Yandle (2006-Present): 152 points, +7 in 296 games; coming off back-to-back seasons with 10+ goals/40+ points; 2011 All-Star.

G: Bob Essensa (88-94, 99-2000): Most games (311), 2nd in wins (129-124-35), 15 shutouts, 3.32 GAA, .894 SV%.

Coaches

Bob Francis (99-2004): 390 games, 165-144-81, plus 2-8 in the playoffs; 2002 Jack Adams winner.

Dave Tippett (2009-Present): 177 games, 100-55-22, plus 3-8 in the playoffs; 2010 Jack Adams winner.
