The eleventh in a series of 30 articles, we will go through the history of every NHL franchise alphabetically and select an All-Time Roster for each.

Detroit Red Wings (1926-Present)

The 11-time Stanley Cup champions have enjoyed a great amount of success as of late, making the playoffs for 20 consecutive seasons, and earning four Stanley Cup titles (97, 98, 2002, 08) in that time. Before 1997 however, they had little success over a forty-year span dating back to their four Stanley Cups in the 1950s (50, 52, 54, 55) and three beforehand (36, 37, 43). Thus, you can see a large gap with few players from the 60s, 70s or 80s on this list. Datsyuk qualifies as a winger because of the depth at center, and because he is a part-time winger whenever lined up alongside Zetterberg.
