We have finally advanced to the Final Four of our Be A GM series. The first matchup features one of the brightest young stars in the NHL against its most famous player.

Why Tyler Seguin Is a Franchise Player

Is it too soon to call this 20-year-old a star? Not at all. The second overall pick in 2010 (courtesy of Toronto via Phil Kessel, of course) is showing why it was such a difficult choice for the Oilers, who picked first that year.

Bruins coach Claude Julien kept Seguin harnessed last year, playing him merely 12 minutes a night, and Seguin scored a mere 11 goals as a rookie. But his breakout came in the playoffs, where he netted six points in the first two games of the second round (after sitting out the entire first round) against Tampa Bay.

This season the world is seeing a confident and electric Seguin. While a natural center, Seguin can also play the wing and is putting in nearly a point-per-game and is leading the league in plus/minus, earning him a trip to the 2012 All-Star Game. The next ten years should net him some serious hardware.

Seguin beat out Carey Price in the first round, Dion Phaneuf in the second round and Corey Perry in the third round.

Why Sidney Crosby Is a Franchise Player

Fans continue to speak loudly and vote their support for Crosby, who has missed all but eight games in the last 12 months with a concussion. Before his injury he was the best hockey player in the world. Not only is he missed on the ice, but there is large contingent curious to know if he comes back and is still the best.

He scored the "Golden Goal" in the Olympics, was youngest scoring champ in sports history (120 points as a 19-year-old sophomore), owns a Rocket Richard Trophy for scoring 51 goals two years ago, was the league MVP at 19-years-old, won a Stanley Cup and has averaged 1.39 points per game in his career (584 points, 420 games), plus 82 points in 62 playoff games.

Crosby beat out Zach Parise in the first round, Loui Eriksson in the second round and Henrik Lundqvist in the third round.
