 On March 11th, we unveiled the very first edition of Obe?s Comprehensive Team Rankings. It was created to get a better picture of every team in the league based on all facets of an NHL game, not just wins, losses and points.
To end the 2009-2010 regular season, the Washington Capitals jumped over the Chicago Blackhawks by a very slim margin to finish 1st overall. San Jose, Vancouver and Phoenix rounded out the top-5; the Edmonton Oilers ranked dead last, which should surprise no one.
Biggest gain: Detroit and St. Louis moved up 4 spots
Biggest drop: Philadelphia and Minnesota went down 5 spots
