Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Auston Matthews was named a finalist for the Lady Byng Trophy on Saturday.

It marks the third time that Matthews has been a finalist for the award, which is presented annually to the player voted to best combine sportsmanship, gentlemanly conduct and ability as voted on by the Professional Hockey Writers Association.

Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson and Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin also were named finalists.

Rick Bowness, Andrew Brunette and Rick Tocchet are finalists for this year's Jack Adams Award, the NHL announced on Friday.

The distinction is given annually to the coach who is "adjudged to have contributed the most to his team's success."

Quinn Hughes, Roman Josi and Cale Makar are finalists for this year's Norris Trophy, the NHL announced Wednesday.

The Norris is awarded annually to the "defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position."

Connor Bedard, Brock Faber and Luke Hughes are this year's finalists for the Calder Trophy, the NHL announced Tuesday.

The Calder Trophy is awarded to "the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition" and is determined through voting by the Professional Hockey Writers Association.

The NHL named Sergei Bobrovsky, Thatcher Demko and Connor Hellebuyck finalists for the Vezina Trophy.

The Vezina Trophy, which goes to the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position, was voted on by the NHL's general managers with Bobrovsky, Demko and Hellebuyck finishing in the top three in votes for this season.

Kucherov, the NHL's scoring leader with 144 points, scored a first-period goal, then set up Brayden Point's power-play tally with 2:55 left in the second for the historic assist.

Jack Edwards is retiring after 19 years as the Boston Bruins' play-by-play announcer, the team announced Tuesday.

Edwards has described the position broadcasting for the Bruins on NESN as his "dream job," which he started in 2005 after spending more than a decade at ESPN. He will continue calling Bruins games through the end of the playoffs.
