Zach Parise Out Three Weeks With Eye Injury

Mar 31, 2017 8:58 PM

Zach Parise will likely miss the next three games with bruising and swelling around his eye from a high stick to the face that led to blows to his head as he fell.

Bruce Boudreau said Parise came away from the scary collision with his vision intact and perhaps on track to return next week.

"A little sore in his upper body, but I don't think he's going to be out for a long period of time," Boudreau said.

Panthers Coach Regrets Rushing Ekblad Back To Lineup

Mar 29, 2017 1:22 AM

Panthers coach and GM Tom Rowe says he regrets rushing Aaron Ekblad back to the lineup after the defenseman suffered a concussion earlier this month.

Ekblad is now dealing with a sore neck and will not join the Panthers for their four-game road trip that begins Monday in Buffalo.

Although the neck injury is not believed to be related to the concussion, Rowe said he made a mistake in putting Ekblad back in the lineup so quickly.

Stamkos: 'When I'm 100 Percent, I'll Be Back'

Mar 24, 2017 2:31 AM

Lightning captain Steven Stamkos said he won't return to the lineup until he's 100 percent.

The 27-year-old forward has been sidelined since having surgery on Nov. 17 to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee. He's been practicing with the team and described his progress as "slow," but he feels he's getting closer.

"When I'm 100 percent, I'll be back," Stamkos said after the team's morning skate. "Obviously, you hope that's sooner than later, but I have no control of the healing that goes on in the process."
