The New York Islanders have been criticized by the agent of two of their goaltenders for how they treat the players of the position.
On Saturday night, Allan Walsh pointed out how the Islanders are using a three-goaltender system for the second season and “Biggest issue is goalies don’t get enough practice time to stay sharp”
Walsh also tweeted, “Starting goalie for NY Islanders last game had only 1 quality practice in last 5 days before Penguins game. Going on 2 years of this now.”
The goaltender in the Islanders’ last game was Jaroslav Halak, who Walsh represents. Halak allowed four goals on 35 Pittsburgh shots on goal in that contest.
Sidney Crosby returned from a concussion for the first time this season and scored on a shot from the slot to help the Pittsburgh Penguins overcome a 2-0 deficit against the Panthers.
"I think when you miss that much time, you just try to get involved early, whether it's taking a hit or giving a hit," Crosby said. "So excited to be back out there, and just trying to get involved right away."
"I thought he had a real good start tonight," Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. "For me, he didn't miss a beat out there. He was winning faceoffs. He was battling down low. He brought a lot of speed to the game. He scored a big goal for us. So there's no reason [to think he can't return to the same level]. I think Sid's going to be fine."

The bursa is a liquid filled sac that provides cushion against the pointy bone in the elbow.
