In the seventh of a series of 30 articles, we will go through the history of every NHL franchise alphabetically and select an All-Time Roster for each. Chicago Blackhawks (1986-Present)/Chicago Black Hawks (1926-1986) One of the NHL’s Original Six franchises, Chicago boasts a roster littered with Hall of Famers and All-Stars. The franchise has appeared in 11 Stanley Cup Finals, winning four times (1934, 1938, 1961, and 2010). Interesting note: A Blackhawk was named league MVP in four consecutive seasons from 1965-68. Honorable mention to Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane; forward was a deep position for the Hawks and they rank 34th and 28th respectively among forwards in scoring, but no doubt they will belong on this list by the end of their careers. Some players may appear to be out of place on this list based on stats, but remember that the era they played in was one with very little offense, and their Hall of Fame status should show they belong.
